For the fifth time, Torbreck has been awarded a perfect 100 points by the Wine Advocate, one of the world's most esteemed wine review publications
Following on from perfect 100 point reviews for The Laird for vintages 2005, 2008 and 2012, and RunRig 2010, the 2016 was also awarded 100 points in March this year
Reviewed in the 'The Wine Advocate' in March 2019, Joe Czerwinski said
'2016 RunRig is a complete masterpiece. It's full-bodied, plush and velvety without being unstructured and manages to be fruit-forward yet savory on the long-lasting finish, where it picks up hints of mocha and black olives. This should be drinkable with pleasure throughout its entire two-decade life'.
This review was followed up with 97 points from respected Australian wine writer Huon Hooke in 'The Real Review', who said:
Dense, concentrated and compact, with a nicely complete, resolved structure and impressive elegance considering the hot year. Excellent wine.
